At First Dental Center we offer 4 main types of braces: Metal braces, Ceramic braces, Self-ligating braces, lingual braces and clear aligners. Metal braces are most popular among children and adult patients, and work by applying the them to the teeth and connecting with a wire. The wire is tied to the braces using elastic ties, which come in different colors to choose from. To move the teeth, our orthodontist makes small adjustments to the wire at every 4-8 weeks. Metal braces require care and attention and good oral hygiene is a must throughout treatment.

Lingual braces are the most specialized as they require a different set of orthodontic skills. Our orthodontists are highly trained for challenging dental cases. Lingual braces are fitted behind the teeth as per patient case requirements.

Clear aligners are the latest and are both removable and transparent. However, some parents prefer metal braces as they do not need to remind their child to wear them.
